Phil Kean

Phil Kean, president of Phil Kean Designs Inc., studied at Harvard University and Washington University to earn his Masters of Architecture (MArch) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Phil is a Licensed Architect, Certified Residential Contactor and Certified Green Professional. With a world view of architecture, Phil designs each project based on the specific location and topography, and the client’s distinctive requirements and unique lifestyle. Seamless transitions of indoor and outdoor living spaces and spatial, functional, sustainable design are Phil Kean hallmarks. As architect and builder of The 2012 New American Home, Phil showcased his expertise in indoor/outdoor, transitional design in this project and incorporated the latest in green building technology to achieve the LEED for Homes Platinum certification and the National Green Building Standard’s Emerald certification.
